Supporting Macmillan Cancer Support in Memory of Craig Grant
At Ideaworks, our Charity of the Year for 2025/26 was Macmillan Cancer Support.
The decision was a deeply personal one.
In 2025, we lost our friend and colleague, Craig Grant. Craig was a valued member of Ideaworks whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
To honour Craig's memory, we chose to support Macmillan Cancer Support throughout the year and help raise vital funds for the incredible work they do for people living with cancer and their families.
Macmillan provides practical, emotional, physical and financial support to those facing one of life's most difficult challenges. Their work ensures that nobody has to face cancer alone, offering guidance, comfort and care when it is needed most.
As part of our commitment, Ideaworks pledged to match employee fundraising efforts up to £10,000, helping every pound raised go even further.
Fundraising Highlights
Our team has already taken on a number of challenges and events in support of Macmillan:
Richard Harris and Angus Cousins raised £6,452 by completing the Manchester Marathon.
Doug Wood raised £2,000 through the Fred Whitton Challenge.
Ideaworks employees collectively raised £3,413 through staff sales, bake sales, the Wimbledon sweepstake and a charity poker night.
Combined with Ideaworks' matched funding contribution, the total raised stands at £21,865
We are incredibly proud of everyone who has contributed, taken part, donated, organised events, or supported colleagues along the way.
Most importantly, we are proud to be doing it in memory of Craig.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us support this important cause. Together, we are helping Macmillan continue to provide vital care and support to those who need it most.
