A rare look inside a recently completed London Townhouse, featuring Ideaworks Lighting

It is a rare thing when we have the opportunity to not only photograph a finished project, but also share that publicly.

The private homes and yachts of our clients are exactly that; private. Over many years we have become very accustomed to this way of working. And so we often admire from a distance the beautiful finished interiors and designs worked on by so many different people.

However, when the opportunity does arise, it is great to be able peek inside some of these magnificent spaces and appreciate all of the efforts that have gone into creating them; particularly when it comes to Lighting. So much of the technology we provide for our clients’ homes and yachts remains deliberately out of view, hidden and discreet. Not an awful lot to reveal in a photo. When we are able to showcase our Lighting however, this is a real privilege.

If you walk through London’s Holland Park you will pass many homes that have been built upon an Ideaworks’ design and now another has been added to the list. This pristine 6-bedroom townhouse on one of London’s most prestigious roads, Addison Crescent.

On this project we had the opportunity to support the design team in providing our full lighting services; Creative and Technical Lighting Design as well as Managed Lighting Supply. Features of the dramatic Creative Lighting Design include a strikingly illuminated basement bar, swimming pool with bold geometric wall and ceiling lighting details and several large reception rooms with beautiful cabinetry details and bespoke fittings.

Our Technical Lighting Design has enabled a detailed system commissioning in which every fitting is grouped and dimmed within bespoke scenes to meet the Client’s changing needs. We offer a premium level of support and delivery through our Managed Lighting Supply service. We delivered over 3,500 lighting components all of which are individually tracked and traced, on time and within budget requirements.

Creative Lighting Designer Oliver Williamson lead on our creative delivery and was deeply involved throughout the project, through to final scene setting and revisiting the project with our photographer to capture these images.
