Welcoming Mamou-Mani & Fab.Pub to Our London Experience Centre Window
We are pleased to welcome Mamou-Mani Architects and Fab.Pub as the latest residents in the window of our Ideaworks London Experience Centre.
The new window installation explores how parametric design, digital fabrication and material innovation can come together to shape new architectural possibilities. Conceived in collaboration with Mamou-Mani Architects and Fab.Pub, the project reflects our shared interest in experimentation, circular living and the future of making.
Designing Through Computation and Material Intelligence
Parametric design formed the core methodology for the installation, allowing form, structure and material efficiency to evolve together through computational processes. Rather than separating concept and construction, the design responds dynamically to performance, scale and material behaviour from the outset.
The installation was fabricated using industrially compostable biomaterials, developed and produced in-house by Fab.Pub using large-scale 3D printing and advanced digital craft techniques. This approach minimises waste while enabling highly bespoke, one-of-a-kind results, demonstrating how digital fabrication can support more responsible and flexible ways of building.
Mamou-Mani Architects: Architectural Innovation Through Computation
Mamou-Mani Architects is an award-winning, RIBA-chartered architecture and design practice based in London, led by Arthur Mamou-Mani. The studio is internationally recognised for its pioneering use of parametric design, digital fabrication and sustainable materials, producing work that sits at the intersection of technology, craft and environmental responsibility.
Across public installations, architectural projects and research-led collaborations, Mamou-Mani Architects continues to challenge conventional approaches to design and construction, placing sustainability and innovation at the centre of its practice.
Fab.Pub: Digital Fabrication as a Circular Practice
Fab.Pub is a digital fabrication studio and urban 3D factory focused on advancing local, sustainable and on-demand production. Working across large-scale 3D printing, prototyping and bespoke fabrication, Fab.Pub develops new material processes with an emphasis on circularity and low-impact manufacturing.
More than a fabrication facility, Fab.Pub operates as a platform for experimentation, supporting architects and designers in translating ambitious ideas into finely crafted physical outcomes.
Creating Space for Experimentation
“Partnering with Ideaworks felt natural. They create space for experimentation and dialogue, which is essential when exploring new materials and more circular ways of fabricating and building,” says Arthur Mamou-Mani.
Our London Experience Centre window provides a visible platform for this dialogue, bringing emerging ideas about materials, technology and fabrication into the public realm. The installation is both a showcase and an invitation to consider how architecture and making can evolve through collaboration, curiosity and thoughtful use of technology.
Join Us: An Evening with Arthur Mamou-Mani
To mark the installation, we are pleased to invite our community to An Evening with Arthur Mamou-Mani, a design-focused event exploring material innovation and parametric design.
As the current resident of our London Experience Centre window, Arthur will share how parametric thinking and material research inform his studio’s work, offering insight into the creative and technical processes behind a range of architectural and installation projects. The presentation will be followed by an open discussion and informal networking.
