We were delighted to be able to contribute towards the creation of the Sola Kitchens Wigmore Street showroom, through our lighting design and supply services, and implementation of a lighting control system.

The objective was to seamlessly blend a cosy and inviting “home” atmosphere with the functional requirements of a well-lit showroom. We opted for a subtle approach, utilising warm white lighting, strategically placed spotlights, and focused beams of direct illumination, as opposed to the bright lights commonly associated with showrooms. We incorporated decorative details, such as backlit stone and lighting within kitchen units, to add multiple layers of light and depth, elevating the overall atmosphere.

To enhance the evening experience and evoke a sense of comfort, we implemented innovative dim-to-warm light fitting technology. This intelligent solution brings a cosy feel to the rooms and compliments the decorative lighting features in the kitchen area.

The showroom benefits from high ceilings and lots of natural light in the main front and back spaces, but in-between, the height is constrained and is further from natural light. To compensate, a Coelux ultra-realistic skylight was added, which brings the subliminal effective of sunshine and a sense of height and open sky into this otherwise darker area.

We loved working with the Sola team on this project, who were full of creative ideas and great to collaborate with. The end result is a truly unique and inviting space which perfectly showcases the Sola Kitchen designs.
