We are delighted to share the exciting news of Ideaworks’ induction into the esteemed Lutron Hall of Fame. Managing Director Chris Jones received this honour at ISE in Barcelona, acknowledging our decades-long commitment to excellence and innovation.

Over thirty years ago, at the dawn of “smart homes” in the UK, when lighting control was not the standard it has now become in high-end homes, Ideaworks (then Sound Ideas) developed and manufactured our own lighting control system. It provided clients with scene set lighting and whole house control for the first time.

Lighting runs through the very core of the company. Ideaworks’ Lighting Designers have been designing creative schemes for homes, superyachts and boutique hotels for over thirty years. A robust lighting control platform with elegant keypad solutions gives the team the confidence that their lighting schemes can be brought to life with simple control.

So when Lutron first came to the UK market, Ideaworks were one of the early adopters who embraced Lutron’s technology and pioneered its use. From that point on, we have designed, installed and gone on to support hundreds of systems.

The early days included ‘modifying’ US style keypads, so they matched UK switchgear. More recently pioneering the transition from phase dim to DALI lighting control – now something we all take for granted.
We were also one of the first integrators to grow a dedicated curtains and shading team that offers everything from the Lutron control all the way to the client’s choice of fabric, pleats and hems.

So after so many years of collaboration, it is an honour that Ideaworks have been inducted into the Lutron Hall of Fame to: “celebrate and honor an exceptional partner who has demonstrated unwavering commitment, dedication, and excellence in their collaboration with Lutron.”
