Dominic Harris Studio Presents ‘Endurance’ at Ideaworks New Year Party
British interactive artist Dominic Harris previewed some of his new immersive-scale installations at the Ideaworks New Year Party at Samsung KX.
We were pleased to be able to collaborate once again with Dominic and his team, showcasing some of his newest work at our industry event, broadcast across the imposing screens at Samsung KX.
Dominic Harris uses technology to construct highly personal interpretations of the natural phenomena surrounding us. His reverence for nature and his fascination for code offer a surreal and whimsical take on reality, which ultimately challenges our perception of the world around us. His aesthetic yet playful responses conceal a carefully observed commentary on the digitisation of our daily experiences, which reflect our emotions and relationship with technology-fuelled 21st-century pop culture.
As these technologies, unstoppable and fascinating, have ignited a new wave of interactivity in ever more intimate ways, Harris captures the sometimes menacing march of the information age, turning it to our advantage in an insightful and seamless blending of nature with code. He is part of a small yet important coterie of artists pushing the envelope of feasibility and redefining what is acceptable within the art world.

Chris Jones
Chris has been at Ideaworks since 1999 after graduating as a Product Designer from Brunel University. He spent the first decade running projects both in the UK and around the world before moving into a management role as the company expanded. The last decade has seen Chris move from operations Manager through to Managing Director with most of his time focused on clients and on enhancing the culture of the company.
